Anyone reading this hashtag would just giggle and smile and think of the 50 cent song- Candy shop. We too, at one point thought that they would probably dance or enter to the 50 cent song.
But there is more to this hashtag than what meets the eye. Geselle’s second name being Candida and fondly called ‘Candy’ was one of the reasons behind the hashtag. But to make things cooler, she works for a candy shop brand. Now that blew our mind.
Eric and Geselle, did things differently. They booked an entire villa and decided that they would both get ready in different rooms of the same house. With us running from different rooms capturing the fun moments, with Eric trying to get a glimpse of his bride to be and even tried scaring her with his face mask on from his facial. But Geselle wasn’t moved. She just smirked at him and carried on with her make up, leaving Eric and his Best man to grab a couple of beers and chug them down, while he got ready.
The church service was the usual but, a little different from what we normally have witnessed. The priest adding a little something more to the wedding ceremony and getting the couple and the crowd involved dramatically. With raising of hands to bless the couple on a number of occasions, to holding hands and to directing the family shots, the priest definitely stole the show. And then to top it off, the couple, the witnesses and us quickly driving off from this church to head down to the main church to sign the registers.
There was a lot of running around for such a small wedding. But the running stopped at the reception. Their wait of 1533 days, led us to a fun filled, energetic, candy flowing, dance crazy reception. With Geselle switching her gown and Eric switching his shoes to groove on through the night. Emotions ran high, from screams of joy, to giggles, to champagne being sprayed, to laughter and some crying at the end of the wedding, with Geselle’s family handing her over to Eric in the traditional Mangalorean way.
