It was the early morning right after the wedding. With barely any hours of sleep and deep coffee cravings we drove down to South Bombay to shoot around some iconic architecture. Hoping that it being Sunday and expecting little to no crowd, we headed to our first location of Asiatic Library. With what started as a handful of other people including some other couples who thought the same as us, we were shock greeted by a huge group people who began to do some sort of prayer dancing right where we were shooting. So we decided to get a little extra creative and got Claudelle and Dennis to join in the fun and dance along.
These two were the coolest! Ready to do as we requested without questioning our requests. Blindly from one thing to another. They trusted us whole heartedly and that gave us the confidence to move ahead and do what we love doing best. It was like we were exploring the place, documenting their moments and having insane amount of fun. Even tried to sneak into a film production crew setup restaurant to get something to eat or even that eluded cup of coffee.
The day was just perfect. With the right amount of cloud cover to the pockets of sunlight that came through when we needed it. From stopping by at the local medu wada cycle guy to grab a bite, to Fabian and Dennis drinking some terrible tea. We’ve never had more fun on a shoot, especially in Mumbai and that early in the morning. It all came down to this amazing, chilled out couple that we were documenting that made it so spectacular.
Here’s a little glimpse of what went down that quiet, half sleepy, coffee craved Sunday summer morning.
